At Pawsitivity Pet Services, we pride ourselves on providing seamless, personalized, stress-free care for your beloved pets. A big part of making every visit perfect is a little preparation from our wonderful clients! When your pet care specialist arrives, having everything in place ensures they can 100% focus on your pet(s), making for a happier and smoothie experience for everyone.

Below is a helpful guide to ensuring your home is ready for our next visit:

Your Precise Pet Care Profile: Your Sitter’s Go-To Guide!

ree

Your Precise Pet Care profile is the single most important tool for our pet care specialists! It’s where they get all the vital information to provide the best possible care.

Please take a few moments to ensure these sections, if applicable, are up to date:

  • Home Access

    • Entry Instructions: Detailed notes on how to access your home (e.g., lockbox code, alarm system instructions, etc.)

    • Alarm Codes: If applicable, ensure codes are correct and clear.

    • WiFi Information: If needed for smart devices (playing music for pets, etc.), or communication.

  • Pet Information:

    • Feeding Instructions: Specific brands, amounts, frequency, location of food and any unique preparation (e.g., “add warm water”, “mix with pumpkin”, etc.)

    • Medication Details: Name of medication, dosage, frequency, time sensitivity, location, and method of administration (e.g., “in a pill pocket”, “crushed in food”)

    • Behavioral Notes: Any quirks, fears, triggers, or specialist handling instructions (e.g., “resource guards toys”)

    • Medical Conditions/Allergies: Any relevant health issues or known allergies.

  • Special Requests/Home Chores:

    • Please specify if you’d like your pet care specialist to:

      • Bring in the mail

      • Water Indoor/Outdoor Plants

      • Bring in packages

      • Open shutters

      • Rotate turned on lights

      • Any other light household chores!

  • Trash and Recycling

    • If you’d like your pet care specialist to take out the trash, bring trash and recycling bins to the curb/return them, please specify in your profile your trash and recycling pick up days.

At Home: Setting Up for Success

Beyond your online profile, a few simple steps at home can make a world of a difference:

  • Clearly Labeled Supplies: Place food, treats, medications, leashes, harnesses, litter, and waste bags in easily accessible, clearly labeled locations.

  • Fresh Food & Water Bowls: Ensure bowls are clean and ready for use.

  • Designated Potty Area: If your pet uses a specific spot in the yard, make sure it is accessible.

  • Cleaning Supplies: If your pet is prone to accidents, leave out cleaning supplies (paper towels, pet-safe cleaner) in an obvious spot.

  • Leash and Harness Ready: Have your dog’s leash and harness hanging by the door or in a designated spot.

  • Secure Environment: Ensure gates are latched, windows are closed, and any hazardous items are out of reach.
