A Paw Above the Rest

Pawsitivity Pet Services was voted the winner of the Best of Loudoun dog walking and pet sitting category in 2022 and 2023. We are unique compared to other pet care providers. Pawsitivity Pet Services prides itself on its small service area. We service Leesburg and Lansdowne, Virginia. Our staff is Pet First Aid and CPR Certified, personally trained by the owner, Kaitlyn, to ensure the highest quality care, and local to the Leesburg/Lansdowne area.

We charge for our time. We do not believe in extra fees for more than one pet, last minute requests, big messes, or extra chores. Whether you want us to take the dog for a walk, play in the backyard, request we scoop the litter box, care for small animals, or take out the trash or grab the mail while you are out of town, the price will never vary.

New Client Consultation

New client consultations are required before start of service. This is a great opportunity to show us your pet's routine and where to find supplies such as harnesses, collars, leashes, food, cleaning supplies, etc. Meet and greets are free of charge when scheduled with the owner, Kaitlyn. If you would like to meet your Pet Care Specialist, there is a $20 fee to compensate your sitter for their time.

Client Portal & Journals

Clients are encouraged to use our client portal for scheduling, communication with their Pet Care Specialist, and more. Clients are required to input information about their home and pets into our client portal so our Pet Care Specialists can follow client instructions. All visits are GPS tracked. Clients will receive a report card sent via email after each visit to ensure peace of mind. Report cards contain pictures of client's pet(s), a map of their dog(s) walk, and a blurb about what your pet and Pet Care Specialist did during their time together.

PLEASE NOTE: We require that our client's book in time blocks.Our first available time block is between 7 - 9am and our last available time block is between 6 - 8pm. For pet sits, Pet Care Specialists are instructed to arrive before 8am for morning visits and after 7pm for evening visits

Kaitlyn

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn, the owner of Pawsitivity Pet Services. I have the best job in the world; I get to spend my time caring for animals. I've had a love for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up I had rabbits, frogs, hamsters, and fish. I got my first dog for my twelfth birthday and knew that I was meant to work with animals. I started this company because my dog is my whole world. I wanted to be there for animals when their humans couldn't be. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, fish, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and birds. I am a graduate of the Canine Training and Behavior Specialist certification program at Animal Behavior Institute. Other classes I've taken include canine nutrition and canine aggression. Completing these courses have provided me with the knowledge to take the best possible care for your pet. I am also certified in pet first aid and CPR. My love for my own dog has inspired me to care for all pets as my own; pets are family! I live in Leesburg and take pride in the care I provide for my neighbors pets.

Hi, I'm Karen! I am not only a Pet Care Specialist, but an Office Manager as well. I lived in Lansdowne for the past 12 years before recently downsizing to Ashburn with my husband and 8 year old leopard gecko Zeus. I have taken care of animals of all shapes and sizes for the past 20 years and have owned many wonderful pets, namely 3 incredible westies. I truly enjoy caring for all types of pets to include: Dogs, cats, reptiles, guniea pigs and other small animals, fish and birds. I have an extra soft spot and compassion for senior friends yet also have the patience and energy level for those in training. Every walk will be an adventure and every drop in will be full of TLC. I look forward to making a difference in your pets day while you are away!

Robin

Hello! I'm Robin! I am currently an Office Manager here at Pawsitivity Pet Services! I've been a NoVa resident my whole life. I'm currently attending NoVa Community College. I have a special soft spot for giant breeds and have experience caring for elderly or disabled critters. I have grown up with a pack of mastiffs since preschool! I was a sectionally competitive figure skater for most of my teenage years and for the past four years served as a Linda Paley-Hume award winning team captain. I've volunteered at FOHA (friends of homeless animals) for almost a year now as a cat sitter and dog walker, as well as grown up spending lots of time caring for various barn animals on my grandfather's farm. All the critters I've met have been loved and special in some way, they always seem to bring us silly humans down to earth and humble us. I can't wait to meet your furry (or feathery!) children!

Hi, I’m Alisyn! I moved from Frederick Maryland to Leesburg Virginia to go to college at Northern Virginia Community College. I have grown up with animals my whole life. At the moment I have 2 Pit bulls at my mom's, 2 cats and 2 German shorthaired pointers at my dad's. I took animal science in high school for 2 years and a veterinary science class in college. I’ve always been fascinated about learning more about the animals I have around me everyday! I’m looking forward to meeting and taking care of your furry family member!

Hi, I'm Brooke! I am a native of Loudoun County and live near Waterford with my husband, 3 children, and 2 adorable rescue dogs. I am currently entering my 21st year of teaching elementary school. I really enjoy spending time with my dogs, so I thought this would be a perfect part-time job for me. I have experience taking care of dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, and goats. I am looking forward to meeting your amazing pets and spending time with them.

Emily

Hi, I'm Emily! I am a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor's in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Environmental Biology. I have been a member of the Virginia Herpetological Society since 2016 and have conducted salamander population projects throughout the George Washington National Forest in Virginia, conducted ecological research overseas in Borneo, as well as with leatherback sea turtle researchers in St. Croix, USVI. I have been passionate about animals and science from a young age and have worked as an animal educator for local K-12 communities in Harrisonburg, VA and across Northern Virginia. I am also trained in lab animal husbandry, exotic animal keeping, and was supervisor of reptile husbandry for JMU's Herpetological Outreach Program from 2016-2017. Currently I am a volunteer for the Virginia Save our Streams Program and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.

Iris

Hi, I'm Iris! I live here in Leesburg with my three dogs (all rescues) and one husband (I got him the normal way). I have a full-time government job, but my love of dogs had me looking for something just like this, part-time. I’ve also taken care of cats and am learning about chickens (bok!), thanks to my mom and my husband. I’m looking forward to meeting your dogs, kitties, and chickens and help you take care of them when you are not able to - in the way I’d like someone to take care of mine.

Hi, I'm Jessica! I have lived most of my life in Loudoun County and currently reside in Leesburg with my husband and three teen sons. Roxie, our English bull dog, is the princess of our home. Animals, especially dogs and llamas, have always been a special part of my life! When I am not caring for your animals, you can find me cheering on my sons at sporting events, volunteering in the schools, walking outdoors, or helping companies with their marketing needs. I look forward to meeting your animals and giving them lots of love!

Hi! I am Kelly. Originally from Rochester, NY, I have lived in Northern VA for 13 years. In 2021, my husband, 2 daughters and pup moved from Arlington. We are now lucky to call Leesburg home! I love animals and growing up, we had bunnies, fish, and dogs. Currently, we just have our rescue pup, who is a big cuddle bug. I look forward to meeting and taking care of your precious fur babies.

Hi, I'm Lindsay! I grew up in Stafford County, Virginia, on a horse farm with lots of cats and dogs running around. I currently live in Leesburg with my cat, Cricket, and still have my miniature horse, Rocky, in Bluemont. Horses and the sport of eventing have always been my passion. I've worked at The Chronicle of the Horse magazine in Middleburg, Virginia, for 10 years after graduating from George Mason University. I enjoy writing, photographing horses, and traveling the country and the world for my job. I'm currently in between horses and wanted to spend some more time with animals, so Pawsitivity Pet Services seemed like the perfect place!

Hi! I'm Liz! I grew up in Tennessee, but I've been living in Leesburg for almost four years now! I really love animals and I'm glad that I'm able to be apart of Pawsitivity. I enjoy reading, writing, riding horses and enjoying nature. I grew up wanting to be around animals, and given the opportunity, I've been able to do so again. I can't wait to meet your pet and be able to grow a bond with them!

Hi, I'm Maria! I moved from Lovettsville to Leesburg in 2021 after raising two kids and two dogs, Gracie and Ziggy. I've had cats and dogs my whole life and look forward to helping you take care of yours! I grew up with a Samoyed and a Main Coon and have some additional experience with horses, goats and pigs. I also work as a real estate assistant when not caring for your fur babies and I'm excited about joining the team! I'm a lifelong skier and I enjoy spending time with my kids, traveling, hiking and movies.

Hi, I'm Martha! I'm a Northern Virginia native and currently live near Philomont. I've always been an animal lover and have become quite the advocate for rescues. My most recent work has been equine assisted therapy, and while I've taken many different career paths over the years, my utmost favorite has always been pet sitting and dog walking. Dogs are just the best, you know? (Of course, you do!) That's what brought me to Pawsitivity Pet Services. I look forward to getting to know your fur babies of all varieties.

Hi! My name is Millie. I retired from the Federal Government (USAF) in April of 2021 where I held a top-secret clearance for 10+ years. Prior to my government work, I worked for an adult Neurology group as Practice Manager for 10+ years. I have two daughters and 4 grandchildren that keep me active! My husband and I live in Leesburg and participate in local organizations. Since retirement, I have been looking for something fun to do with some of my extra time. I love all animals and have had lots of pets over the years. I’ve raised dogs, cats, rabbits, hermit crabs, turtles, hamsters, and fish just to name a few. I look forward to taking care of your pets and will treat them as if they were my own with love, kindness and compassion.

Hi, I'm Misty! I have lived in Leesburg for 10 years with my family and dog. I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Pets I've had in the pets include dogs, snakes, a lizard, fish and a bird.

Hi! I am Sophia. I am a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School. I have an amazing passion for animals. From owning hamsters, and guinea pigs, cats, fish and dogs; I have done equestrian, and worked on a farm with pigs! I currently have an irish wolfhound/lab mix named Lincoln. He is my pride and joy, and I'd love to make your pet feel just as special.
