What a year it's been! As we sit here in December looking back at 2025, our hearts are absolutely full. This year brought so many incredible moments, growth we're still pinching ourselves about, and yes, some tears too. But that's what happens when you're in the business of loving animals, you get all the feels, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Our Amazing Team Keeps Growing
Let's start with the people who make all the magic happen. Our team has grown to 19 absolutely incredible, dedicated, animal-loving humans, and honestly, we're still in awe of this group every single day. Each person brings something special to our Pawsitivity family, and watching them care for your fur babies like their own never gets old.

This year, we took a big step forward by creating team lead positions, and we couldn't be more excited about how it's worked out. A huge shoutout to Brooke, Karen, Jessica, and Kelly for stepping up and absolutely crushing it in their team lead roles. These four have been rock stars, helping coordinate everything behind the scenes and making sure every every visit goes off without a hitch.
And speaking of coordination, we also have our two operations coordinators, Natalie and Kristy, who basically keep us all sane and organized. If you've ever wondered how we manage to keep track of 19 team members and hundreds of pets across Leesburg, these ladies are your answer. They're the unsung heroes making sure everyone's where they need to be, when they need to be there.
The Numbers That Make Us Smile
Ready for this? We completed over 12,700 visits this year. Twelve thousand, seven hundred! That's a lot of happy pups, wagging tails, and probably some very tired legs on our team's part. I estimate that our team walked 14,360+ miles, which is enough miles to walk across the United States and back, TWICE. But every single one of those walks represents a moment of joy, exercise, and love for a furry family member, and that's what gets us out of bed every morning.

One of our biggest wins this year was launching our pet taxi service, and wow, has it been a hit! We've completed 200 taxi rides, getting your pets safely to vet appointments, grooming sessions, and even some special adventures. There's something so heartwarming about being able to help when life gets crazy and you can't get your pet where they need to go. Plus, our drivers love the one-on-one time with your fur babies during those rides.
Adventures and Giving Back
Our adventure walks have been absolutely incredible this year. We completed over 100 adventure walks, taking dogs to new trails, parks, and exploring spots they might never see otherwise. But here's what makes us extra proud, we provided over 20 of those adventure walks to dogs at Loudoun County Animal Services. Seeing shelter pups get out for special adventures and seeing their personalities shine during those outings has been one of the most rewarding parts of our year.

These partnership walks aren't just about exercise - they're about giving these dogs a chance to show potential adopters who they really are outside of a kennel environment. We've watched shy dogs come alive on trails and energetic pups burn off steam and show their sweet sides. It's community work that fills our hearts and hopefully helps these amazing animals find their forever homes faster.
Community Recognition and Awards
Celebrating community recognition can be very uplifting when you want to give your furry friends the best life possible, and these honors reflect the trust you place in us every day. This year, we won Best of Loudoun for the 4th year in a row! We also were recognized this year by the Town of Leesburg. We were the recipient of the Leesburg Community Ambassador Award. Thank you to our clients and our community for cheering us on.
Client Wins That Made Us Cry Happy Tears
Your pets have had some absolutely amazing wins this year, and we've been here for all of it. We've watched dogs nail their obedience training, you know those moments when a pup who used to pull you down the street suddenly walks perfectly on a leash? Yeah, we've seen dozens of those victories, and every single one makes us want to throw a party.
But maybe our favorite transformations have been with the shy cats who've slowly come out of their shells. There's nothing quite like watching a scared, timid kitty gradually learn to trust, then eventually become the purring, attention-seeking love bug you always knew they could be. These transformations take time, patience, and consistency. Seeing them happen reminds us why we do what we do.

The Harder Moments We've Shared
We need to talk about the tougher side of this year too, because it's part of our story and part of loving animals as much as we do. The reality is, pets just don't live long enough, and we've lost quite a few of our clients this year. Each goodbye has been heartbreaking, and we've done a lot of crying together as a team and with our clients.
But here's what's beautiful about our Pawsitivity family, we support each other through these losses. When one of us is struggling with saying goodbye to a pet they've cared for, the whole team rallies around. We share memories, we hug it out, and we remind each other that the love we gave those animals mattered. Every walk, every belly rub, every moment of companionship made their lives a little brighter.
These losses remind us to treasure every single day we get with your pets. Every tail wag, every purr, every goofy moment is a gift, and we never take that for granted.
Looking Ahead to Year Seven
Can you believe we're coming up on our seventh year in business? February 2026 will mark seven incredible years of serving the Leesburg pet community, and we're already getting excited about celebrating with all of you. When we started this journey, we never imagined we'd be where we are today, 19 team members, thousands of visits, and countless furry friends who've become part of our extended family.

Thank You for Trusting Us
As we wrap up 2025, we want you to know how grateful we are for your trust. Every time you hand us your keys and let us into your home to care for your pets, you're giving us an incredible responsibility and honor. We don't take it lightly, and we never will.
Your pets aren't just clients to us, they're family members we get to love on while you're away. Whether it's a quick midday walk or an extended adventure, every interaction matters to us. We see their personalities, we learn their quirks, and we fall in love with each and every one of them.
This year has been full of growth, joy, challenges, and so much love. Our team is stronger than ever, our services keep expanding to meet your needs, and our commitment to providing the best possible care for your pets remains our top priority.
Here's to finishing 2025 strong and looking forward to an amazing 2026. Thank you for making this year pawsitively unforgettable. We can't wait to see what adventures next year brings for all of us and our furry family members!
